Linearity Improvement Technique for the Common-Source Transconductance Stage

چکیده

A linearity improvement technique for a common-source transconductance stage is proposed. The proposed technique requires an additional MIM capacitor located in parallel with the intrinsic gate-source capacitor of a transistor. The origin of the linearity improvement is explained and the proposed technique is applied to a down-conversion mixer. From the simulation, the down-conversion mixer that adopts the proposed technique shows 4.5dB higher input IP3 than the conventional mixer.
